Brussels Airlines connects Belgium to India!

From March 2017, Brussels Airlines will land on a new continent, offering 5 direct flights between Brussels and Mumbai weekly. The airline will fly to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport – the second busiest airport in India, and the busiest in the country in terms of cargo traffic.

Situated on the west coast of India, Mumbai is the state capital of Maharashtra and, with its 20 million inhabitants, is ranked in the top 10 of the world’s largest megacities. As well as home to all of India’s big financial institutions and corporations, the city is also the maritime hub of the country, the base of the famous Bollywood film industry and the heart of many other economic sectors (diamonds, pharmaceuticals, IT, etc.).

This will be the first time that the Belgian airline lands on the Asian continent, and thus further reinforcing its hub in Brussels. Brussels Airlines will work in close cooperation with Star Alliance partner Air India, offering passengers connections to other cities and regions on the sub-continent. Furthermore, The Mumbai-Brussels flight schedule will allow smooth connections to many European, African and North American destinations on the Brussels Airlines network.
