As of 26 October myAustrian flies two times per week to the magical city of Marrakech. With its colorful souks, ancient palaces, and architectural marvels the Moroccan city is truly a feast for the senses. The city of Marrakech is not only a great place for a truly unforgettable getaway but also a prominent venue for numerous cultural and sport events, such as the “Marathon des Sables” or the “Gnaoua World Music Festival”. In November, this year’s United Nations Climate Change Conference will be held at this enviable destination in Morocco.
Marrakech impresses not only with its historical city center called Medina but also with its modern area called Guéliz. Medina, the old city of Marrakech, is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and is surrounded by red mud walls which are to be found everywhere. Due to these red walls combined with many terracotta colored houses Marrakech is also known as the “Red City”.
In the upcoming winter timetable, Austrian Airlines offers direct flight service to Marrakech on Wednesdays and Fridays.
