New routes: Rome–Hangzhou and Nice–Beijing

Air China is continuously expanding its international route network: the direct flight from Rome to Hangzhou, which was launched in June, and the connection between Nice and Beijing, which has been in operation since August 2, further strengthen Air China’s presence on the European market.


The connection from Rome to Hangzhou offers European travellers the second international destination besides Shanghai in the economically vibrant central area of China’s east coast. The relevant details are as follows:

Nice in southern France becomes the second city in France after Paris to have a direct connection to Air China’s central hub in Beijing. From there, domestic Chinese and international connections will be available so that Air China can reach not only all destinations in China, but also the most important destinations in the entire Asian region, including Australia and New Zealand. The following details apply to this flight:

  • Frequency: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays
  • Time: Nice–Beijing departs 00:25 hours, arrives 04:55 hours (+ 1); Beijing–Nice departs 02:50 hours, arrives 08:05 hours


For Germany, Air China offers regular direct flights from Frankfurt, Munich and Dusseldorf to the Beijing and Shanghai hubs. This route network is supplemented by the flight from Frankfurt to Shenzhen in the very South of the country.
