Free snacks are back: United Airlines reintroduces free snacks

From February 2016 every day United Airlines will be offering its passengers in United Economy a selection of free snacks on several thousand domestic American flights and connections to Latin America. In addition, United has recently launched an exclusive partnership with well-known coffee producer Illy, to serve speciality coffees on board and in the United Clubs – chosen by customers and staff.

In the mornings United Airlines passengers receive a Stroop waffle, a Dutch speciality filled with caramel, together with their coffee or tea.

On flights departing after 9:45 a savoury snack is served, for example an Asian snack mix with rice crackers, sesame sticks and wasabi peas, or a spicy ranch mix with small pretzel sticks, Cajun corn sticks and soy nuts.
