Toulouse – centre of the aerospace industry

Alongside the aerospace industry, the region around Toulouse is also characterised by medical research and the university with around 100,000 students. Travellers appreciate its location between the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts, while the mountain region of the Pyrenees is also extremely scenic. Anyone who strolls through the many car-free streets of the old town or watches the colourful hustle and bustle on the central Place du Capitole can understand the popularity of the city, which also known as the ‘ville rose’ [pink city] because of its many brick buildings. Its unpretentious atmosphere in a historical setting, southern French cuisine and many opportunities for sports and relaxation make Toulouse one of the most attractive destinations in southern France.

Lufthansa flies from Frankfurt and Munich to Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS) up to four times a day.
