Work and pleasure in the city on the skerry coast

The university town on the west coast of Sweden, on the banks of the River Göta älv and the shores of the Kattegat is not only home to the largest port in Scandinavia. Almost all the big names of the Scandinavian economy have at least one branch here. The financial, automotive, petrochemical and plant engineering sectors are strongly represented in the metropolitan region.

It is worth getting to know this venerable city after a business meeting, for example. Gothenburg is famous for its lively and diverse coffee-house culture. The old district of Haga offers numerous opportunities to experience this – preferably with a typical cinnamon bun. Between the old working class district of Haga and the district of Vasastaden you can find many good regional and international establishments to enjoy a successful business lunch.
