First place in current consumer study by Focus Money and Deutschland Test
Lufthansa was voted the most sustainable airline by consumers in Germany. This is the result of the nationwide survey “Nachhaltiges Engagement” conducted by the business magazine Focus Money together with Deutschland Test and the analysis company Service Value at the beginning of 2019. Respondents voted Lufthansa the brand with the highest responsibility value in the “Airlines” category and thus the most sustainable airline. With this result, Lufthansa successfully defended its first place from the previous year.
In addition to Lufthansa, Eurowings (4th place) and SWISS (5th place) also achieved very good rankings. Every year, the study asks some 500,000 consumers in Germany how they rate companies in various sectors in terms of their sustainable commitment in the areas of ecology, economy and social issues.
The latest survey result once again rewards the Lufthansa Group’s efforts to act responsibly for the environment and society and is, after the Statesmanship Award, the second award that the Lufthansa Group has received this month for its sustainable corporate actions.
