Important information for Lufthansa passengers to Mainlland China

IMPORTANT: passengers to Mainland China must present a negative PCR and IgM antibody test prior to travel. Both Covid-19 tests must be performed at the point of origin and in transit before boarding the nonstop flight to China*.

PCR and IgM antibody testing facilities for travelers flying to Mainland China are now available at Frankfurt Airport – for both local and connecting passengers.

Due to regulatory requirements and to guarantee smooth processing of the Covid-19 tests in the transit area (Terminal 1, Concourse Z near Gate Z12), only passengers from select origins (point of commencement) can currently travel with Lufthansa to Mainland China**. Flights to Mainland China via Frankfurt must be booked in one ticket. Please also note that the minimum connecting time in Frankfurt for Lufthansa flights to Nanjing, Shanghai and Shenyang has been increased to 8 hours.

As entry regulations can change at any time, you will find up-to-date information for Lufthansa passengers to China as well as details of the Covid-19 test facilities at Frankfurt Airport on lufthansa.com.

Find here more detailed information for travel to China.

* Passengers who begin their journey in Germany must perform the two tests either at their point of origin, e.g. in Hamburg, or when connecting in Frankfurt.

** All other passengers cannot be accepted on Lufthansa flights to China until further notice. Passengers already booked, whose contact details are stated in the booking or in the Miles & More profile and who cannot travel to China due to current restrictions, have already been informed of the flight cancellation.
