United Airlines has inaugurated its daily nonstop seasonal service between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and its hub at San Francisco International Airport on March 31. The flights will operate daily until October 26, 2019.
United’s new route to San Francisco is the airline’s fifth nonstop service from the Netherlands, in addition to the existing year-round services from Amsterdam to New York/Newark, Chicago, Houston and Washington, D.C.
United flight UA969 departs from Amsterdam daily at 2:50 p.m., arriving in San Francisco at 4:50 p.m. the same day. The return flight, UA968, departs from San Francisco daily at 2:55 p.m., arriving in Amsterdam at 10:20 a.m. the following day (all times local). Amsterdam-San Francisco flights will be operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with a total of 252 seats – 48 flat-bed seats in United Polaris business class, 88 in United Economy Plus and 116 in United Economy.
The flight times are 11 hours westbound and 10 hours and 25 minutes eastbound.
