Air Canada recognizes that people have different requirements when they travel, so we are expanding the range of choice for our Economy customers with our new suite of fares. Each fare type offers customers specific attributes as well as options to purchase additional benefits and amenities that vary based on the type selected, such as extra legroom, upgrade eligibility, or lounge access.
In February, we introduced you to Basic, and today we’re introducing Standard and comfort. You already know Standard, but you know it as Tango. When compared to Basic, Standard offers some additional features that our customers often expect, like the ability to upgrade their ticket (for a fee), make changes to their ticket, and accumulate Aeroplan Miles.
Comfort fare, however, is a new member of our Economy-branded fares. It caters to customers seeking an economical travel experience with some key features and options for an enhanced experience and provides greater flexibility than Flex fares. Our comfort fare offers key features and amenities for enhanced comfort.
Comfort fare will be available for purchase on all routes within North America. Standard will be available for purchase on all routes worldwide.
