All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA), Japan’s largest 5-star airline, will conduct its daily flight from Brussels to Tokyo with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The larger aircraft will start flying on 28 October 2018 and offers an increased seating capacity in Business and Economy Class.
ANA has been servicing the Brussels-Tokyo route with the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner since it was launched in October 2015. Now, three years later, ANA is upgrading the 787-8 to its big brother. The 787-9 has a total of 215 seats, 46 more than the 787-8. New in-flight services include ANA SKY LIVE TV, a feature that allows passengers to view broadcast television programming in real-time. In addition, passengers will also have access to e-books and e-magazines as well an in-flight Wi-Fi service. As with the 787-8, this aircraft incorporates technology that provides an unprecedented level of comfort through innovations that optimize cabin humidity and air pressure.
The Boeing 787-9 offers an extended fuselage over the 787-8 and achieves up to 23% greater fuel efficiency (compared with Boeing 767-300 ER), with approximately 20% more seating and cargo capacity, resulting in further reduction in operation costs.
